I'll be there this weekend. I think I'm going to the bike show, first then to the karts. If there are any takers to join me at the bike show let me know. Oh and this year I'm not going to be so nice to you Randy!!!

Glad to see everyone show up on Sunday! We had a blast!

Here's the Points awarded so far.

Mickhail...58 points
Me..........54
Randy......52
Devon......52
John........50
Devlin......50
Martin......46
Javier.......42
James.......40

Everyone is still in the running so far! It's still early!

Edit: Just had to throw in that in my 2nd race I LAPPED 2 people on the 3rd and 2nd last lap.
I informed the supervisor that it's really not fair to have a kart like that out there. I now have the burden of testing each kart before the event to see which ones need to be spruced up. A daunting task I know, but I'm gonna take this one for the team.

That's good news Dave... I didn't like getting such a shit kart that I managed a 4th place finish after starting in pole!

I understand, that would really piss me off, I know how good of a driver you are. Even though each kart is different in many ways, I'm gonna try and get them as close as possible.
But remember also that it's setup so that everyone has a fair advantage/disadvantage if they get a good/crappy kart. Just the way it works.

Thanks for organizing a fun event Dave. It's nice that we had the track reserved for us the whole night and didn't have to wait for anyone.
However, I don't think I'll be going back to that place. It kinda sucks that they aren't fast enough to have to do any real braking. Plus the variability in karts was huge. My fastest lap was in qualifying. Also that place was so poorly ventilated that my throat was sore for a couple days after and everything I was wearing reeked of exhaust.
I'm going to stick with the electric karts at GPKartways.
Good luck with the rest of the season!

I was at GPK less than a month ago, their karts were pretty poorly matched too

Just a reminder to everyone. There is NO place that has every kart completely matched. It just doesn't exist.
1 or 2 karts are either really shitty or really amazing.
I'm going before the event to test them and tweak every kart so they are matched as close as possible.

Just to be clear, I definitely had fun and it was really good value for the money. The track layout is pretty good too, better than GPK. If I wasn't too busy these days with our new baby and everything, I'd probably overlook those issues I mentioned.
You guys are right that any karts are going to vary in speed. They actually were relatively close, only 1 was faster and 1 was kinda slow.
Good luck to everyone!

Hoping to make it out to the next race, been a long time since I drove a kart, but looking forward to getting out at least once this season.
