I almost see the 1 series as the modern e30, the newer 3 series are getting too large or so it seems to me, I parked beside one the other day and my car looks like an MG midget.
I like it.

The 1 Series is definitely closer to an E30 then the current 3 Series but to me it just looks bloated in comparison...
I really liked the 1 Series when it first came out but I think I like it less and less every time I see it.
