Angry Heated seat, Only back works :(

When i bought the car last winter both back and bottom heat worked, now only the back does... (Which im starting to miss in this colder weather) I was wondering if anyone else has this problem or would know where i can look for the solution. Passenger side works good on back and bottom.
Thanks guys.

Only the back of the seats heat up on my car as well. But I dont think i ever remember the bottom getting warm. I always thought it was just the back that did. Id love to get both working though!

The lower element requires replacement, common failure.

If you are mechanically inclined it is a fairly easy repair. You will require the following.

Heating element - 64 11 8 391 696 regular seat, or 64 11 8 353 027 sport seat (x1)

Seat bottom clips 52 10 8 130 678 (x4)

Hog ring clips 52 10 1 945 543 (x20)

Mark.

how hard is it to get the leather off.
that said my sport seats have two plugs underneath, my prev seats only had one. i know my bottoms heat up, and i always thought my backs felt like they were (i only recently found out that the backs are supposed to heat up) . could the other plug be for one of the heating elements?

that said can i order the above parts and heat my back seats ?

The backs worked 100% when I gave you those seats. I'd check the wiring.

That is possible with a little patience and the correct tools listed in previous posts. I've done the same on other car seats before.
