camber plates

i just rescently lowered my car and am wondering if installing camber plates is worth it, o9r should i just ride the way it is without them. and if i should get where would be the best place to get them, price wise and quality wise. thanks.

Your tires will wear out faster due to camber wear, there's no way around that. If you're running expensive rubber then yeah you might want to correct that, if you're just running cheap rubber that you're ok with replacing every couple years then don't worry about it. How much did you lower your car?

In terms of options:
vorshlag camber/caster plates - $420
ground control camber/caster plates - $320
ireland engineering camber plates - $150-$300

It's the same height as your car, the one you have posted underneath all your posts, so I would say about 2.5inch drop

Save your money. Your rears will be wearing out before your fronts anyways... at least on the street that is.

^ This. Also, most people put camber plates up front to run MORE camber. I always wore out the outside shoulders on my e30's first, not the insides.

Only works in the front. If you want more rear camber, go lower.

I bought adjustable camber plates from Ireland engineering, put them on the car set them full negative and then took them back off.

For me the extra 1/4" in ride height that it added offset whatever gains in negative camber. I ended up having the same negative camber as I started (went for an alignment both times to verify) but with but the front end sitting higher!

I still have them if somebody wants to buy them from me... for whatever reason I don't know...

They look like they also have an upper strut mount built in. Factor in saving about $150 for both sides and that makes their price about $150 more than cheaper ones.

Starts to look like a good deal!

You are rather limited. I think you would have your work cut out for you to hit that alignment. Eccentric bolts only change so much, after that your camber is still fairly much dictated on how low your car is.

Seriously though, in order to get that you'd need to modify the rear subframe by welding in some vertically slotted plates on one of the bushing carriers. Even then, that's a poor solution because your essentially clamping the RTABS in a crooked orientation. Modifying the trailing arms so that you can run heim joints will fix that problem though.
