who would you let do your e30 S52 conversion

Looking and doing the typical E30 S52 swap and as i recently moved to Ontaio I do not have any idea who is who on this board.

I have a E30 currently just a shell and a S52 motor, looking at getting everything put together properly, no butcher backyard mechanic or rush 1/2 ass job where the car is always going back because something was missed or not installed properly.

I figured the best was would be putting it to the masses to assist.

if there is someone i should include in the poll let me know and i will add them

Thank you for you time

Ontario is a VERY large province, you are going to have to be a HECK of a lot more specific as to the area you are residing in, so that we, as valued members of Max can suggest some places.

In your Tags you've got several shops listed. I can chime in on a few.

Bimmersport (Charlie/John), I've used exclusively for the last 6-7 (?) years(even before the new shop). I've got no real complaints, respectful, knowledgeable, always treated me right and took care of me to the best of their abilities, would never hesitate to take my car there and many times they have accommodated me on very short notice! Stand up guys and some serious cars have come out of there.

RMP, I've never dealt with them, as with every shop, I've heard good and bad things. I didn't like being give 4 different prices for an oil change, each one higher than the next, in the span of 25 seconds by whoever was on the phone. From the feedback I've received, from (close) Max friends, I would say they are more than capable to handle the work; you shouldn't be dissappointed.

Simply cars, no idea.

Stance Works, a shop which recently opened by a few friendsand Bimmerheads, they have done work to my M and a few other cars I know and they are top notch, the mechanic has a beast of an engine swap done to his car and is super knowleadgeable and the Service Advisor??? (Jay, what are you?) is honest, to the point and will save you a buck any way he can. Plus, they are awesome to shoot the shit with.

There are a few other shops I've dealt with, but in hopes I don't start a war, I will keep my mouth shut.

Speak to each of them or visit them and decide for yourself which one you feel better about.

You'll be spending alot of money, so do your research.

and yea as Terry said, Add StanceFactory to your list.

I'd choose myself. I'd pay myself $40 an hour then go celebrate after.

Performance one step at a time.

This. It's your car and your decision. Go to each shop and speak with the people there, see if you can get prior info from each one on swaps they have done.

Now, if you want my input, I only bring my car to Rocco and the guys at RMP. But like I said, you are not me and can make your own opinion on your own thoughts. But since you asked, if it were me getting a swap or anything done on my e36 for that matter, it's going to Rocco.

If you want it to look like it rolled out the assembly line with that motor, bring your car to us.

If you want it to look like another swapped car, take it else where.

Bring it to US and you won't be disappointed.

Which company do you work for? I think I remember reading in an old thread you were with Bimmersport, but just making sure. Do you work on newer vehicles like X6's as well?
