A big welcome to me.

Hey all, This is going to be odd for me in not being severely outnumbered by Americans. I drive a 96 328is. My name is Ed. This is my introductory post here. ju_le_new referred me here so you're all welcome to blame him. I've never actually met him, but we've talked a bunch on bimmerfest.com where I've a bit of history.

Without further ado/BS whatever you wish to call it. Here are a few pics of my girl:

And the day I brought her home.

Ignore the 4x4 status up there, here's how she's stanced now:

Now, I've a ton more pics, that everyone will see in time. I've modded her fairly well, and she's still a major work in progress. At the moment, it shames me to say, she has a black eye courtesy of Bronson. And courtesy of me being impatient she has no interior. I was working diligently on it then ran out of time with school starting up again. (I also work full time.)

Like I mentioned I have a history on the Fest, and I'm known for a reasonable bit of knowledge on the E36. I'll on and off coming into exams in a few weeks, now just struggling to get some projects in.

As time goes on, I'll post a list of what all I've done, but anyone on U of O campus has likely seen/heard my girl.

Either way, I'm sure I'll see/meet a bunch of you and I look forward to it.

Ed.

g'day, I am originally from Bimmerforums so I know how you feel not being surrounded by Americans haha.

Ottawa has quite the large BMW following though (as I was surprised to find out) and most people are quite knowledgeable in this section.

Welcome!

Welcome!
Before I got on the 'Fest, I had looked for more local-to-Calgary forums (where I was at the time) and there was one local forum, it smelled like a whorehouse at low tide (as the saying goes). Last sumer when I moved back to Ottawa the only forum I had found (on a cursory look see) was midnight runs. Now, I don't typically join car forums to peruse lesbian p0rn (which was a required first post there) I read 'em for the cars. I'll leave others box o' p0rn in whatever box they want to leave it in thank you. I often say that I'm not a big fan of Toronto or any other American city. Some of 'em are great guys/gals (by that I mean they love their cars) and some of 'em aren't.

There are more plans for this car than I can air in the few minutes I'm scarfing down dinner before work. Either or, I'll have 'em all here in time.

Thanks for the welcome all. (Not that I was soliciting one or anything...)

Ed.

Hey, nice to see another BMW owner who seems to realize that they're driving a BMW and not just some random sedan. (unlike most of the idiot 3-series drivers in this city)

Hope you plan on coming out for top karting in January.
