e36 Vanos
I know my 318ti doesn't have Vanos so would it be easy to change my camshaft for a more... interesting one?

Uhm, your engine swap looks awesome but I need my money to repair my Bimmer, first
But the supercharger thing.... does the M42 tough the boost or do I have to buy forged parts?

Umm you're the one talking about swapping in cams. You know that cams are quite expensive right? And you have two of them, which is usually ~$1200 for a new set of good cams. So that swap is a steal, plus your car will be much faster then with an M42 with a set of cams.

Sorry, English isn't my first language hehe.. Did you mean the cam swap is a steal and I should go for the supercharger kit?

You shouldn't do either. The swap will be the cheapest and make your car the fastest.

When we say swap, we are talking about an engine swap.
do the engine swap if you want to mod your car. Its the most cost effective thing to do . Sadly your 318 engine is largely a giant piece of junk and not worth putting money into it all especially with the all the inline 6 swaps out there for it.
The one I posted is a very cost effective swap for your car. No vanos issues to worry about and itll make more power stock than a built 318 would make.
DONT supercharge it.
DONT do a cam swap.
If you really want to do something do that engine swap. Seriously when its done you will be glad you did and you will have learned a lot. I hope you can follow what I typed(since you mentioned english isnt your first language)

Yep, don't worry I understood everything I'll wait till winter is over and we'll see next spring/summer for the swap. SiR the offer you sent me looks awesome but it will probably be sold by summer..

M42 cams are adjustable, plus or minus 6 deg. Also b4 cams check with mark d for a chip, which really wakes up the m42.
