If it is the surround you are talking about. I don't believe this comes out. if it does you'll most likely need to remove the entire dashboard from the car first. Unless you are going to start hacking away at it.

well if it didnt come out easily, im planning on cutting out the center that divided the vents.

im trying to fit some gauges in there, i cut out some plexi glass and made some hangers already. i just didnt like the looks of the "flow dials" still there, gonna look at it some more.

just my thoughts, but why not use the radio hole for your gauges and put your radio HU in the glove compartment?

I agree to that! this way you don't destroy the dash and you already have space for the gauges. the radio you can stick anywhere. :-) Another spot I've seen gauges is in the cubby hole just above the ashtray. or just behind the park brake handle in the partition try

The vent console is held into the ducts by clips. I'm not sure how to do it gracefully but I didn't intend to reuse mine so I just grabbed the center with some pliers and gave it a good yank.

good to know..at least you have it in tact without damage. I suppose a cloth between the grips would help prevent damage while pulling it out.

I have a 3-spoke in my vert, but the leather wore through and I need a newer wheel. Condition of the leather? nicks, scraps, wear? I would prefer one is good to great condition.
