I'm not dogging on your engine don't get me wrong.

Is 200 rwhp all for heads, cam, no cat, long tubes and tuning? It sounds like you have some heavy work done, perhaps the 20 over giving a few extra ci as well.

The reason I'm asking is because I am doing a m20b25 swap in my eta this weekend and planned on injectors, tune and long tubes this winter.

Did a bit of searching and stock appears to be 135 - 140 rwhp.

hey..

numbers don`t lie.i don`t think it is quite 200 hp.more like 189 or so.all the mods are listed.it is a combination of all of them together that make such a big difference.i have tried injectors and chip only and gain was there but small.top end was much better with e36 injectors.also, rocker arms very important.i had febi ones when i did engine and they lasted 2 years.i bought set from IE this year.also with cam that i`m running, stronger valve springs are must, specialy with redline i have now.just look at the dyno.car still has 150 hp past 7000 rpm.u can send me PM if need help or advice.Dan

I have a dyno sheet kicking around somewhere on my desktop for a stock SETA with a VEMS standalone that I tuned. I believe it was around 163whp (dynojet @ Tag)

So about 144whp on a mustang dyno /\... It's really too bad that the different whp dyno manufactures vary so much in results

I guess, I don't like to assume what the numbers would be on a different dyno because I don't believe in calculations. I've seen all too often that dyno known for being happy or a heartbreaker in fact aren't.

I've seen enough times that DD, mustang etc all read higher then a DJ.

^ its true dynojets read higher because they are inertia dynos whereas a mustang is a load dyno and simulates driving on a road. btw i'm not sure if mustang dynos are calibrated and locked from the supplier but that may be a cause for reading higher. Dynojets on the other hand are calibrated and locked from the factory. Dynos shouldn't really be compared because there will ALWAYS be some variability, its just how the universe works. The best use is to compare your own cars previous performance to its current performance and even then its a bit iffy seeing as the same car can give a range of hp readouts.

years ago, I got the same sort of results with my built M20B27 stroker. Heavy headwork, extrude-honed intake, flow-matched, 273 cams, bored TB, M30 MAF, 19# injectors, jacobs ignition, intake/exhaust, 4.10 gears etc... got so fed-up spending money on NA mods to see marginal gains that I eventually went with a 80HP shot of NOS. Ran that way for 2 years and didn't regret it one bit (proper setup w/progressive controller etc). Surprised the hell out of many IROC/Mustang owners (this is back in '95). Found out how "delicate" the E30 drive-line becomes with near 300ft/lbs! Tearing engine mounts, guibos, center hanger bearing, subframe mounts & diff mounts. Eventually built a 6-pt cage to strengthen chassis & did one of the first M52 swaps (1998)... baselined 222wHP w/bolt ons.. later supercharged it with 12psi.
