it's all structural steel that stuff goes up pretty fast but what they arent showing it the footing of this building that would be poured from concrete all the reinforced steel footing that the first floor is bolted to. that would take time to build i am a steel placer i know, it's the rebar that takes time not the structural steel. in toronto most of the building are built with rebar and concrete this picture is from a job i was on in maple at the new condo that just went up in the past year at keel and major mackensie. it takes time to set the forms, pour them then strip them for the slabs they have to put up decking then a bunch of steel gets placed then it get's poured. takes time and is allot more structurally sound then that kind of building. IMO

ya exactly, they aren't doing any concrete pouring. condos in canada/building in canada US go up prettty fast too. exfept they use concrete/rebar. concrete takes time to set.. think ill take a candian building over that any day lol.

Nothing wrong with a steel/prefab building.

No, the building hit a pylon at 5km/h and exploded into a million pieces

sure there is would you rather a 300mm concrete wall seperating apartments? or insulation and drywall? a concrete structure is quiet where as these buildings are noisy inside

Show me a 12" concrete wall between apartments. Not very common these days. Maybe a condo, but not an apartment building.
