Shop for Transmission swap on E30?

Hi,

Does anybody know of a shop in the GTA that still offers a manual transmission swap on an e30? I'm looking to get the ZF 5-speed + LSD into my car over the winter. Some of the shops I heard good reviews about don't offer the service anymore so hoping someone knew of one that still does it.
Thanks

Unless you have a 24v swap, you'll need a Getrag 260 transmission, which is what came on M20 E30s.

This will be a lot cheaper if you bring them all the parts they'll need.

Sea Aych had a swap on his car recently, he might have a few pointers.

Also, I've got a Getrag 260. You can have it cheap.

You can swap a zf trans onto an m20 just like you can swap a getrag 260 onto an m50.

Hurdles are modifying the trans brace and shift linkage, adapting the large output flange on the zf to the small flange on your m20 driveshaft (revshift guibo, swap output flange or driveshaft with large guibo) and determining what combination of m20/m50 clutch and flywheel parts you want to use.

JYPark, it's going to cost you about 8 hours of labour if you bring the shop every single part. I know stance factory USED to be able to do it, but last i heard they'd switched over to doing S54 things only. Give them a call (or PM Mystical) to find out for sure.

Use the Getrag 260. It's a rock, and you don't have to modify any of the linkage/driveshaft things or anything on the body of the car to make it work, like frankie said.

Thanks for the advice.
I think I'll go with the Getrag after doing some reading.
Originally I was going to go ZF so that later on when I do an engine swap (which is inevitable and only a matter of time) I won't have to swap the transmission again but thinking things over that'll probably be several years down the road.
I tried Stancefactory and they don't do it anymore.
Any other shops you guys recommend?
Thanks

Yup, engine swap is inevitable (doing it now )
Try Autobahn East - they did an engine swap for TSI, so they might do trans things as well

This. Doing it yourself is another option if you have a garage and a weekend.
