Got a bunch of work done last night - Jeff was a huge help!
Replaced both control arms, FCABs, and tie rods + replaced all the front body panels. Jeff cut the fender so it's ready for the flare install, and started trimming the hood. I decided to just use Jess' bumper cover as well instead of swapping the bumper over to the M3 cover (less work). It's ready for the corner balance tonight

Well with a lot of help from Jeff and Jamie, we managed to "finish" the car Thursday night at midnight. Thursday morning the alignment was done, and Friday morning the new windshield went in. Friday at 5pm was open qualifying for the race at 6. Qualifying wen really well but revealed some setup issues with the car- nothing that I couldn't drive through though. I qualified 2nd with a 1:21.1 on the short track. Chris was right behind me with a 1:21.6.
Since they inverted the top 3, it meant chris started pole and I was right beside him. Man what a rush! I got a better launch than him off the start so I took the lead going into corner 1. He was a bit faster than me in the tight sections, which made up for my higher hp in the fast sections. After a few laps, I let him by, then the vette that had qualified 1st. He also got by Chris, and then our battle began! We fought the whole race, back and forth. It was so much fun! We finished as we qualified.... 2nd and 3rd. Here's the video!

Amazing battle!! You guys are both superstars in my mind and that motor sounds like Midnight Tuning Solutions
I'm all set for tomorrow - Just have to load it up in the trailer tonight and hit the road.
Last night I got some radiator ducting in to (hopefully) cool the temps a bit, and I also (finally) got the right fittings so I could hook up my oil pressure dummy light.
So excited
