Nice video Shawn! Definitely a crazy weekend; 4 days in a row at the track is both amazing and exhausting at the same time.

It's too bad your time in the shootout was scrapped, but at least you were able to find out what it was. Now you know to shoot for 56.XXX in two weeks!

Thanx for sending me here Shawn!
Fun read and amazing build!

Jamie, you dad and you were fun to watch at ASE.
Congrats to all of you on your runs!

If you guys need ANYTHING,then you are around here, let me know.
I keep a bunch of spares and brake piston clamps.
Will check in with you at the events.

Thanks for the entertainment !!!!

Dave S
PS.1) Why did you go long tube headers instead of short ?
2) What diff ratio is Jamie running .. 3.64?

Dave, I'm running a 3.91 final drive ratio. I'm not aware of any 3.64 ring/pinion gears that came in OEM e36 differentials. I think a custom build is necessary to make a 3.64 medium case e36 diff.

Thanks Jamie, that diff is from Dan @ diffsonline.
Ever since I went to 3.38 from 2.93 I am slower at ASE.

I had a look at your video, and with the results...you were doing pretty good.
Kinda hard to pass on some tips when I am running about 3 seconds slower...

But...here is an
Have a look at my friend Seb in the early days at ASE.
Maybe you guys can pick up a few trips !

It's a lil grainy but you will get the feel of it.
The other E30 is running a lot more hp.

Thanks for sharing that video! He takes a different line through the last two corners, but it's hard to tell if its a faster line or just more defensive during a race. I'll be giving it a shot for sure!

If you can manage to pop by on a Test day or any Monday nights, give it a go and see what works. Best time to test for Monday is on the track @ 5pm sharp, before it gets too busy.

^All that looks fine and dandy, but really, Mosport didn't go so well for me. More work to be had... and more money...

All in all it could have been a lot worse. Pretty heartbreaking though, and makes me rethink the effort I'm putting into it. Is it really all that worth it? No, it's not - time to slow down a bit and focus on other aspects of my life.

I have lots of time ahead of me, and I'm definitely not going to stop, just going to change my priorities a bit. Overall, it's about $1500 worth of parts. Taking a couple weeks to chill, then I'll figure it out.

Bummer, hope your okay and not too shaken up, I know you put a lot of work into it. Mosport really can eat you up and spit you out.

Where did you go off? Any idea what went wrong?
