Jamie came over and we used my sister's car as a mould to lay up the fibreglass roof panel I'll be putting in the car. Should weigh no more than 3-4lbs (compared to ~10-15lbs for the stock panel including the sunroof frame).
Oh and the last pic is a preview of the other work I got done today (better pics will come tomorrow).
So yesterday I got the cage mostly painted, then put the last few coats on today. After that, I started painting the interior - these pics are only with the first coat. Very excited for how it's going to look!
In between family stuff this weekend, I was able to get a bit more work done:
I pretty much finished the interior paint - just have the trunk left to do. I think I'm going to just tape it off an spray it - rolling/brushing takes FOREVER.
I also got the roof cut to size and installed some stiffening braces. Just waiting for the adhesive to dry, then the interior will be painted white and it will be fastened to the car. Total weight of the new roof is 9lbs (the old one was ~26lbs).
The last thing I did tonight was slot/redrill my strut towers for extra camber/caster. Hoping for capability of around 5deg. of negative camber now
