More goodies from today - a set of Profi II for me, and Clubmans for my passenger.

Thanks to Carl at Perry Performance!

You need to print instructions for the passenger so you don't need to reach into their crotch before going out.

Or not, whatever you like. I'd prefer instructions.

Got some work done today - finished the passenger (Andrea) side x-brace (cuz she is pretty and we dont need a crash to change that), and got the driver side NASCAR bars done - just need to do the reinforcements now. Plus, got my solid subframe bushings from Turner Motorsports today too

Haha, no the suit is for very special occasions only.

Solid bushings eh? Wowsers, this is going to be one serious race-car ride! I wonder what that will do to video quality? Might need to make a buffered mount or something for the Go Pro!

Thank you!

As of right now, yes - I have the stock steering rack. I don't know any better and honestly I haven't found it to be bad in autocross, or on track. Last year I did upgrade to a 330mm Sparco steering wheel, and that made a bit of a difference.

Yeah, the autoX vids are going to suffer for sure. On track should be good too!

I have solid (well, spherical bearing) RTABs coming in too... but they're B/O

No need to worry about GoPro footage! Everything on my car is solid or a bearing and I don't have any issues. Car doesn't even vibrate that much.

Awesome Good to know. All my drivetrain bushings have been upgraded to aluminium, and now I'm slowly upgrading the rear suspension ones.

We should try and coordinate something where we end up doing the same track day. I would love to see your car in person, and how they compare on the track

Got more work done this weekend.... finished bracing the NASCAR bars, completed the X on my main roll hoop supports, tied my front shock towers into the cage, and rewelded my steering wheel bracing:

PS sorry for the crappy pics... forgot my camera today so I had to use my iPod

Did you change your wire in the welder to solid? I don't get why it's splattering like that.

Anyway, I'm not trying to point out bad stuff lol thought it seems to sound that way.. I'm always amazed by the progress!! Keep it up!!

Yeah I'm not sure why there's so much spatter... everything was cleaned with acetone before I started welding... it seemed like it would spatter at first and then settle down.
