battery powered? didn't you see that micro turbine at the back? that runs on fuel
pretty much the same type of turbine used by Jetman http://www.jetman.com/?page_id=24

That's pretty wicked.
You can tell the older guy has had a few experiments gone wrong, both of his hands look like they've been burnt pretty badly.

That surely is a nitro fueled Turbine
This is the hobby my family is into. Pretty amazing feeling to fly those things at that speed... if You're really tech'ie, you'd want to mount some high rez high speed action camera's into the plane it self... and buy a transmitter that has built in RF recievers for the information that gets displayed right onto the remote....
The only thing limiting you from going way into those clouds are vision, and radio reciever transmitting power... eventually you'll go out of range of the equipment then you're screwed.
My father has been flying/competing with RC planes since the 80's. myself about 10 years later.... pretty cool shit until I got into the 100mph RC cars
The Hobby show is today if you guys want to pick up any of this cool RC stuff.

I used to watch the guys fly in the school field over by Trafalgar and Britiannia. After crashing my PT-19 with control lines I was tainted and stuck with 1/10 nitro cars instead.

Running HPI from eight years ago just before they came out with the all wheel drive. Radion is JR and I've hopped up everything to aluminum and changed out the motor. Got a whole 'pit crew' kit of wheels, oils, shocks, etc. I was hard core with a bunch of other guys and we'd be out at the previous Price Clubs parking lots after 10 and run till around 3 in the morning in the Summer months. Cops were looking for draggers when they heard our motors only to find us in the parking lot having fun.

HAHAH thats awesome! Yea, when the neighbours piss me off, I pull out our big loud motors and tuned pipes, and "test" *cough rip* them as loud as i can just to make some noise.... hahaha too much fun
Those new drift cars look really cool! and the brushless electrics are getting really fast now... but Nitro is still the way to go.... I use Traxxas's Nitro 4tec's and HPI 4wd's as well. Awesome cars!
I want to get a stadium truck now but having a hard time deciding what...

No thanks. Just sticking with the co-axial indoor helis and those can crash with minimum damage. Crash a 400 in the open skies and you'll be spending $$$ for the repair. I give cudos to those that can fly those birds.
