What about those sprays they sell? Or the plastic covers that are clear straight on, but become distorted as you change the angle?
ie, the camera's high up won't be able to see your plate clearly.

I use this, it works almost perfectly. The odd time I get a bill for $3.55, it will state we know you got on at Brock Road but we have no idea where you exited so we are charging you a minimum.

I would not use this cover if I used the 407 on a regular basis, I only use it about twice a month and rarely from the same 2 enter/exit point.

The way I see it is....the government wasted my tax money buying up all that land since the early 70s just to sell the 407 off to a private company for less than the cost of just the construction. They threw away billions of our tax money on land purchases so a private company can profit....not cool. I will enjoy a freebie once an a while.

The bike is easier, a little wheelie and the plate is hidden from the camera.

There is no legal requirement for your plate to be able to be photographed. The only thing you risk in running this kind of mod is a fine called imPROPR lighting - 110$.
Do you mean IR? HID would be visible to the eye, but cameras with CMOS sensor also pick up infrared light, which isn't visible to the human eye.

you guys all have decent brakes and tires right.....all you really need to do is hit the brakes somewhat hard after passing the first gate and there's a pretty good chance the camera will take the picture before you get there.

i've had it work 2 out of 5 times...make sure no one is behind you though.
saved me a good chunk of cash. markham to oakville.
