Rubber Mats

Alright, title says all. I called Otto's BMW here in Ottawa to see if they have rubber mats that fit an E30. Parts advisor then explains they didn't have any rubber mats because it's not in his catalog. Ok then, how about carpet? He puts me back on hold, 1 minute later comes back and says there isn't any in Canada and probably none available in Germany as they might be phased out. So I asked for a price on the carpet and he threw 168$ at me if he could even get the mats at all.

I'm wondering if a Canadian Tire mat will fit? Also which exact brand might fit with some minor cutting involved. I just want to protect the carpet and underbody as possible as I put new sheet metal in this summer. Maybe I called the wrong BMW dealership? Maybe Otto's just didn't get the right catalog?

Thanks for the help and suggestions.

$168 is for a set of four. If you order just the fronts, it's about $70 for rubber grey mats... I ordered a set less than a year ago, and they were the last pair in canada, but I ordered one more set that came in from Germany, same price. Just order the fronts. They fit nicely and will last a hell of a lot longer than crappy tire mats. Get the PN# off realoem.com

He said they don't have rubber mats period. Never made them apparently. I'm hoping to find some off ebay or something because he said it could take a month to locate mats if they even have any.

So you need to give him the part number, because obviously they do make rubber mats. I don't make this shit up as I go along.

Doesn't mention rubber, just says mats.

I think I'll give Elite BMW a call this time.

None in Canada. He said he'd have to do pre-paid order in order to see if Germany will have any and there's none coming to Canada This sucks!

I was hoping to get them tomorrow lol. I'll place my order tomorrow and hopefully Germany will have a front set for me.

My gf asked me why not buy Canadian Tire mats, but shes just a girly girl and doesn't understand where us BMW enthusiasts come from.

I bought the mats from CTC, they fit ok, except there are some issues around the accerator pedal (ie-my mat is under the pedal). Steve, any kind of a real driver would freak about this, for me it's ok, but for those of you have driven with me, you know my deal...
