pre/post facelift questions.

hey guys.
i am a long time lurker first time poster.

i just recently picked up a 1995 325i m package and i am interested in getting the car to the bodyshop to get work done on it. however i am wondering if someone can assist me with some questions...

can someone tell me the difference between the pre and post lift e36's exterior???

i have an m package 4dr so it already comes with all the m exterior and red clear tails however the front end (grille and nose) are missing on it.

from what i read on some of the posts they are what seems to be the exterior difference. is this true??

anyone have a picture on the two front ends that would show me the difference???

I have the post 96 grills on my 93, not sure if they are interchangable as they came on the car, but there was no cutting of the panel

Ya you have the weird boxy type. I don't think they even come close to the 96+ grill.

That's what I thought, have seen few people saying it in e36 for sale posts.

Im pretty sure M Package was an option..

Hatchbacks came with it.

I think its everything the M came with minus the motor.

thats exactly what i got.
it came with everything m minus motor.
its definately not the first car i have seen like this.
i saw one few years ago at a bodyshop and i thought it was a real m3 sedan but it turned out to be just a package as per the owner.

i picked my car up from the original owner and he never modified the car if anything he down tuned it. lol.

i checked all the parts out and they are all genuine parts (OEM).

Sorry.. Apperance wise.

M is different than M3.

You could buy an M E30 which is different than an M3 E30. Same goes with all models I believe.

Are you talking about an M-Technik version?

I'n sure there is no "M package" but you could have an M Technic.

What logo is on your Side mouldings.

I think M Technic would be different than M. M does not mean M3/5/6.

So this car has the same suspension, brakes, subfame reinforcements ect as an M3 just with an M50??

Or is it an apperance package that had side skirts and moldings??
