Mike Stearns, or as some of you know him as "mstearnsey", passed away yesterday, … our thoughts and prayers go out to his Family.

Those of you who had the honor to be called a friend of his, or the pleasure to run on the track beside him know he was one of our most passionate BMW enthusiasts, a skilled driver and a real hard core BMW track junkie.

Had it not been for Mike and his contagious passion for Quality Automobiles, I would not have made the choices that I made with BMW… we have not just lost a friend,- We have lost a brother!

He will be missed dearly...

Any of his friends out here that would like to attend the funeral, PM me for more details please.

Let's remember him the way he would want us to remember him: On the track in a M3 with a big smile on his face....

I have only known him for a short time, but it was all very good. It will be very difficult to go to the next CAAD and not race beside him. May his memory be held high. Till we meet you again Mike in the life after this. He drove hard and lived hard. Keep on driving Mike!!

I dont like to point it out, but I think it is important to realise that he died of a car crash. We all take risks, and it is very very hard to accept that in this case a skilled and "should have known better" driver made a terrible mistake. I knew him and we discussed the fun of zooming around in M Cars often.
Keep the fun stuff where it belongs guys, it just is not worth it... I am very sad.

So true... many times we went out on the track together to "have fun"... lets all not forget there is a place and a time for speed, keep it safe and on the track...
