330 Sedan Major Problem...could use advice...

Hey guys,

So I just put in a new crank sensor for a problem with my 2002 330i Sedan. When the car was hot if I shut it off, I couldn't get it turned on...

Now, with a new crank sensor, all of my cluster lights are on, the car is running on 3 cyls, and the speedo or odometre is not working???????

Is this a major electrical problem which caused the first issue...What I am planning on doing now is fixing it and getting rid of it and going with an E90...

Any advice or knowledge on this would be great...WTF is wrong with this car?

I have about 150 kms right now...

sorry, just to clarify, you put in the crank sensor to fix the problem you were having, or you put it in thinking it was going to fix the problem, but it didn't?

are they related? what problem were you having before?

When I went somewhere, I turned off the car and then 10 minutes later I went to restart it and it would start. It did in fact turn over but it burped BIG TIME...it basically sounded like a misfire...when it's hot it won't start...coils are fine, just put in new plugs about 8 months ago with a new air filter as well...Now every light is on in the cluster and the car is in limp mode. Running on 3 cylinders...Now, I have no idea what could be wrong with it...the only codes were misfires, so I am assuming that what's causing the issue is electrical...

Look into EML
