what the... he says its a 2.5L inline 6... but on the back its badged as a 318i o.O

I agree it does say 318, maybe engine swapped????
It sounds like an m20 and not an m42.

I guess over there they like rebadge their cars as a lower model. Over here people like to rebadge their cars as M cars. In my opinion the former is a better idea.
