That's a little bit of an exaggeration. They are rare because most of them have rotted away or the car popped a transmission and a replacement couldn't be found, which means the car ended up in the junk yard. They are cool cars but you have to know what you're getting into.

The $5k would be better spent on a BG chassis GTX or GTR (if you could find one) with it's marginally better transmission.

Winter: 2004 Audi A4 Ultrasport 2.7tt
Year round: 6 cylinders, two turbos, and 6 speeds.
