Haven't seen you around lately, but you did park beside me once last year in the wintertime in the north lot near the library. I don't normally park in that lot though.

So that happens withthis group, too then? When I had my '72 Challenger, it would be annoying to see R/T badging on non-R/T cars - Is it a big thing now to put M3 badging on non-M3 cars?

How is that looked upon in the 'community'? is it a 'do what you want' thing, or more unaccepted?

(not that I plan on doing it - just so I know how it is looked upon)

It's generally frowned upon. Purists hate it, and I just don't understand the logic behind it.

w3rd. I think its generally accepted by every make/model that throwing on the badge of the higher performance model is rice and lame.

ok - but what about my situation. the car I bought has M3 body kit/bumper package, and M3 (clone) mirrors.

Is this an 'ok' upgrade/mod for a standard 8i, or is this frowned upon, too?

you can make every bmw look like their m equivalent but you can't put the m badge :-)
some people don't know that m stands for motorsport and all bmw can carry the badge incl. 318i with m package.
i had factory m badge on the grill on my 84 325e automatic !

so what then is an "M" package, other than the body mods? What mods have been done to the motor to make it "M" class? -- or is this a whole other thread?
