1991 BMW E30 Race Car for sale

This car has an extremely clean build. Car weighs 2300lbs wet. Car has run low 1:36's at Mosport this year.
It uses stock pads and rotors and outbrakes most competitors. It is very economical to race.
For the veteran driver, it's a class winner! For a novice driver, it is a very neutral handling, comfortable car to build up speed in!

Here are the build details:
Started out as a 1991 BMW 318is, very clean car, build started 3 years ago….this car has not been racing long….

m50 motor swap(out of an e36) motor is very reliable. But you can pickup another one for $350…..and continue to run 1:36s at Mosport…front running gt4 times.
custom built exhaust
aluminum flywheel
m3 clutch
schrick cams
oem headers - much lighter than stock
Custom cold air intake
D'sylva programmed chip
Differential upgraged to 3.23 LSD out of z3 m

Hotbits DT2 suspension system - 2 way adjustment, compression and rebound, full front camber adjustment plates
Hotbits racing springs, 500lb front and 600lb rear
This car sticks to the track!

Front Control Arm m3 offset solid bushings
Ireland Engineering urethane rear trailing arm solid bushings
Ireland engineering urethane rear subframe mounts
Ireland Engineering rear toe adjustment kit
Ireland Engineering rear camber adjustment kit

Ireland Engineering front and rear adjustable sway bars: 22mm front and 19mm rear, both adjustable
rear bar - billet aluminum chassis mounts that bolt through the trunk floor and control arm reinforcements welded in, urethane bushings
front bar - urethane bushings and subframe reinforcements


Stainless brake Lines, and most brake lines replaced.


ROLL CAGE
1.5" x .095 DOM tubing
Steel Plate for cage feet
custom built front strut bar

LEXAN
rear window, side windows
all fenders have been cut to accommodate larger wheels
Ireland Engineering fender flares

Steering wheel: Momo with quick release steering wheel hub

Seat: sparco evo2 plus seat

Belts: sparco 6pt harness system with camlock

autometer ultra lite gauges 2 1/16" size - voltmeter, water temp, oil pressure, fuel level
autometer pro-comp memory tach

949 Racing 15" 6UL wheels 4 x 100 36 offset, weighing 12.3lbs - qty 9
mounted - 4 hoosier 225 45 15 R6's, and 4 Toyo r888s…………both sets with lots of heat cycles left
also have 1 set of 4 16" rims with Hoosier 225 45 16 R6's, with lots of life left
some spares include water pump, alternator, tie rod ends, spare diff, unmounted 6 more hoosier r6's, 4 more Toyos

Anyone that has driven this car or been a passenger says it's the most planted, best handling car they've ever been in!
I have invested over $30,000 into building up this car in last 2 years and it is very well sorted.

Buy, don't build. This car is ready to race and will be at Mosport this Wed Sept 22nd.

LOL there is probably an extra 2 pounds of unnecessarily sized bolts holding those flares on, holy crap!

was this at dunville last year? and they didn't let you run cause there was no exhuast so u guys bolted one on just for that day?

if so who ever got this car...its a KILLER car

Perhaps in all your 'street machine' wisdom, you can tell the builders of my race car how it should be done.....Ireland engineering fender flares to accommodate 8" wheels are fastened by 'stainless riv nuts', not bolts....and you need as many as you need to keep the aftermarket fender flare snug to the car with no gaps.
Most people think it looks really cool

Thanks, we were there....car got a lot better after the Dunnville days too.

Not sabotaging the thread dude, just constructive criticism. Just FYI, 8 inch wheels fit under stock E30 fenders no problem. You can go up to a 9 without doing any major renovations such as these.

you probably know that better than me....I think the issue though was fender rub with 225 45 15s....and even 225 45 16's...that we have run on...

p.s. nice wheels!
