Says the guy driving to H20 (Maryland) with his E30. BTW, it takes me an hour to get to Rudy's place, and I live right by the lake on the edge of Oakville. Just sayin'!

I can do it if you want.

Pretty sure. You're only 100kms away... most of that is highway driving. That was on a saturday morning at 9am, mind you.

So what's the plan here? Is anyone going to organize a meet?

It take's me a good 40 mins plus to get to his house from bowmanville too, anyways.

Yes h2o is this weekend, I leave thursday night, arrive mid day friday, start driving home on monday.

Just lowered the car more all around for it and of course fixed some things like aiming my highs and lows, fixing the fog that was out, tightening power steering belt etc etc.

As far as the e30 meet/cruise. I say we go to where rudy held it last year or something similar. I don't see much point in changing it, and can't really say i'm big on the cruise part either.

If, and a big IF I were to organize a meet, it would have to be at least the second weekend in October... mostly because I am at the track just about every weekend . Plus it is relatively short notice for a meet, I don't know how many people would be interested in coming out.

Personally I don't understand most of you E30 guys. Why in the hell have a meet, drive around a neighborhood for say 15-20km take a bunch of pictures and call it a day.......... Why don't we meet for say an hour or so (time for photo op) but go for a real drive which is what Bimmers are meant for anyways. Lets drive to Niagara Falls or Collingwood through the Caledon Hills etc etc.........

And as far as all you complainers about driving

I'd rather go for a short drive, hang out, take picture's and grab some food. I love driving, but I prefer it at an autox, the track, or atleast on my own. I don't need 20 other horny to drive and act stupid e30's around me for me to get pulled over, loose my license, and therefore my job.

I like seeing friends, and eating food. That's not so bad is it John? Besides, you tend to talk longer then anyone else

It's funny you should say that. I had done a cruise this spring with Rob up to Collingwood and back through the Beaver Valley... it was pretty awesome. Backroads through Primrose, ON, and Creemore were awesome too. Epic views from the top of the escarpment, and a 100ft waterfall. I could easily do an all day cruise again. Meet in Barrie or something. Here's the thread, with pics. I'm strapped for time too... I move into my house on Oct. 29th, so we gotta make a call soon. Either that, we can do a Niagara tour... meet the Hamilton crew on the way. Either way, I think we should make a day out of it.

I drove 3500km in 3 days in June, some of the roads were insane. One weekend went to Barrie the 400 was backed up so I took some gravel roads up just west and north of Base Borden, I was doing 110 lol. Now that's fun.

Anyways I have tons of work to do on the car to get it ready for winter, I'm interested in a meet if it's WEST of TO this time. Seems every e30 meet I've been to is East.

As for the longer drive.... I tried to organise a nice 2 day drive once I don't think one person was interested. Personally I'd like to do a winter drive out to Quebec city, if there is a blizzard all the better. I love passing newer all wheel drive supercars that are in the ditch or upside down in a snow bank..

Hurray! Now we're talking, a winter trip to QC would be awesome, that is something I'd consider.
