How to enhance response/performance of a 2007 328xit

I have a 2007 328xit. It has about 80,000km on it. I don't drive it much but just recently, I found that it is not as responsive as my older BMW's. I guess it may be the automatic transmission (in addition to the all wheel drive). So when launching off from a full stop, it hesitates for a brief moment before taking off. Anyone has any suggestion to enhance this?

Use Sport setting for the transmission.

how old are your older BMW's? just wondering if they were older models using a cable for throttle, most of the newer models use electronic throttle, I've notice that they all hesitate before the vehicle actually takes off, that might be one of the reasons, sometimes doing an ECU flash will help with this problem & also give you a little more power to play with, you should PM MarkD for more info about ECU flash upgrade.

OK, thanks, I will PM MarkD for his opinion on this.. As for selecting the Sport Mode.. the car would take off.. but it feels a bit unnatural.. Thanks anyway.

I am sure this and many other options can increase the performance.. But for now, I am concentrating on how to quicken the response on the initial take off (from a full stop)..

I have no experience with this product at all, newest bimmer I owned is a '92 hehe

But this product is listed on pretty much every website that sells bmw performance products, and I have read some positive reviews, check on other forums what people have to say about it. Try bimmerforums for some reviews, iam sure someone tried it and wrote about it.

Good luck with that and let us know how it works if you get it
