Unhappy New Member Introduction & HELP!!

Hi everyone - long time auto forum user, new to maxbimmer and new to the BMW nameplate.

I picked up a 2006 e60 M5 last week in Boston with less than 7000 miles - and I LOVE it.

Here's where I need help. I can't for the life of me find someone in Nova Scotia or New Brunswick to program the Daytime Driving Lights on so I can get it federally certified (outside of BMW Canada). I know it has to be someone with a GT1. Does anyone have a line on someone that can do this on the East coast - anywhere? Other software options?

Has anyone wired an aftermarket set of lights for a late model BMW? Can it be done. I've been to a bunch of mechanics and I'm running out of time and options for something that I thought would be easy.
Thanks Glenn

Why not just buy your own GT1? It will come in useful if you own a BMW. I can supply one if you can't find one yourself.

I need the GT1 Pro because it being an 06 (I think) - I did think about doing that but wasn't sure if they actually worked. I haven't had the best luck with Chinese knockoffs. MarkD - will send you a PM on this.

Anybody with personal experience on using a Chinese GT1 Pro to program - I'd love to hear from you.
