kijiji find
Came across this ad today:
http://belleville.kijiji.ca/c-cars-v...AdIdZ227067049
Wondering if it's a legit find? Would this be the same car as the '94 Canadian Euro-spec minus the badging?

It looks legit based on the price and the details in the ad
The car also looks like it has eyebrows on it which are not listed in the ad, not a big deal.

negative. M3 sedan came out in 97.
edit: its LHD. These were produced as 96 models starting 11/95.
The code for them is cD91.
Assuming this is one of those cars (probably is), there's some problems, including the contours (not available till later, should have LTW's), it has the late style grille (accident?). Crank windows ftw.
The interior, motor and colour checks out though. strange.

"The E36 M3 debuted in February, 1992 and hit the dealers' showrooms in November that year; it was the first M3 powered by a six-cylinder engine, displacing 2990 cc and developing 286 PS (210 kW; 282 hp). Initially available as a coupé only, BMW introduced M3 convertible/cabriolet and saloon/sedan versions in 1994, the absence of any M5 models in the BMW line-up between the end of e34 M5 production in 1995 and the launch of the e39 M5 in 1998 prompting the introduction of the four door Motorsport model."

Well what does he know? It's obvious he hasn't heard of the e36 m3 with s50b30 motor which came out in 1994. 45 of those cars came to Canada that year.

Just contact the seller and ask for a picture of the numbered plaque on the inside of the glovebox

I'm not sure if the models sold in Europe had that plaque. This is not a Canadian car.

wow i gota say i just joined this forum and WOOOW!! seems like you guys really know your stuff, in the begining i thought this add was total bullshit but after reading what you guys had to say it made a little more sents LOL!!! and i think the add looks legit because of the story/info given, but then again i came to that conclution just by looking at the add and not knowing all the facts. Thats my opinion.

car is from Germany(ie: not 1 of the 45)

The entire suspension was replaced about 15000 kms ago. Cooling system? No rad replacment yet of that is what you mean. VIN is WBSCB91090EW20142 This a a real rare car. Probably 1 of 1 in Canada/USA. All body panels are original. The paint was completely stripped down and re-painted by a BMW dealer in Germany about 6 months ago. I brought this car with me from Germany to Canada this Spring. It has all new BMW brakes, BMW suspension, new tires all around, new power window motors. It has been maintained since new by only BMW dealer according to the BMW recommended maintenance schedule. There is NOT A THING WRONG with the car. You will not be disappointed!

im curious as to why you would bring this car here in the spring...and then turn around and sell it?

Because he better sell it before it's only of interest to a collector. There are other BMW's I'd buy before I bought that one. When it needs a motor rebuild, it won't be cheap. And it's still 18 year old technology. So unless a Euro s50b30 is what must turn your crank, you can get an e46 with S54 for a bit more and if the motor blows, it's no big deal.
