What are Kevlar Metallic?

Been researching the $hit out of brake pads recently for my car and I came across this website that sells Kevlar Metallic brake pads? I’ve heard of semi-metallic and ceramic but never Kevlar Metallic, anyone have any idea what the quality of these pads are? discbrakepads.net sells them and there is a coupon I found for 10% off (brakesale-0930-2010). Thoughts? Comments? Input?!? Is this a long life material?

Be interesting to see their wear ratings. Was thinking about the kevlar component. Kevlar is stronger and lighter than steel, so I would imagine they are long-life or high temp pads. But @ same time; when you brake, something wears; the pads or the disks... I'd prefer the pads; cheaper and easier to replace.... so there may be a downside to the kevlar....

I believe I used Kevlar pads - GREEN - street version. I got 3 times the life out of my discs without the compromise of effective braking. I don't think they were metallic though. They also had very low brake dust.
