ZF Tranny.

Will a ZF tranny out of an E46 328i work on my E36 328i? I'm 95% sure it will but I want to be 100% sure before I buy it. Thanks.

Yup. Just make sure the clutch/flywheel match, either gen will work though.

So, clutch has to be specific to the tranny, so an E46 clutch? Will it work on an e36 flywheel?

Nope. Match the clutch to the flywheel (so either both e36 or both e46). Unless of course you're doing a 6 speed swap, in which case use all e46 parts.

Yes. Looking back at my post, using a "/" in that context while typing to an engineering guy was a bad idea.

Mileage is the iffy part, that I don't know. Pulled out of a car that had no cluster in it. Shifted fine though.

250 for the flywheel, clutch, PP, and tranny.
