540i brake rotors and pads, which ones?

Hi there
Before winter comes I am looking to replace my front rotors and front and rear pads.
I am mostly doing city driving in my 540i auto.
Based on past experience which rotors and pads should I get?
What I am looking for is economy and no noise plus less brake dust (magic wish list, isn't it).
Can you let me know what brands are best for my 2001 (12/2000 540i Mtech)?

autopartsway? EACtuning? Maxbimmer sponsors?

Next summer I'll be upgrading to Akebono ceramics and Zimmerman x-drilled all around. I've read great reviews regarding stopping power and dust. The x-drilled are for the front only, got a killer deal on them last summer through EAC.

if you want dustless wheels i would strongly recommend Akebono Ceramic Pads. I am currently running those on my front wheels and what a difference comparing it with the rears that get filthy with stock pads.

With ceramics you will notice a bit less initial grip that oem pads offer, but nothing you cant get used to.

I was thinking autopartway as well. They have zimmerman rotors and akebono ceramics for the front.
For the rear I am thinking PGD ceramics. How is the squiking noise in this set-up.
Also my car is 12/2000 how did you find out the part was compatible with your production year (they don't ask when ordering online)

Once you select the part in the description it will say for Thru 12/2000 or from 01/2001
