1988 325IX for sale all-wheel drive

I have a 325IX for sale, shell has 145000 km on it, while the rebuilt straight-six 325 motor and rebuilt tranny have about 3500km on it. Cam job done, as well as honed valves. Vibrant exhaust system, headers and bosch air intake. Original BBS rims, all power works. Asking $2500, willing to negotiate. Lowering springs on it as well.

yes that is the same car. i went and checked this car out for a possible trade...

seller told me the mileage on the chassis was 14X,XXX, as he posted here.

looks like it's alot higher, which would explain the rusty quarter panels and the interior falling apart. one of the diffs was loud as hell too.

buyer beware.

I thought this was the same car.....funny story about that car, my buddy used to own this car, and was using it as his winter car, the guy that owned it before beat the piss out of this poor little iX. I believe that the diff noise is coming from the front diff as there are a few missing teeth on the gears from being abused by one of the po's.

I have some pics of the car before it looked like it does now when my buddy owned it, was looking pretty sorry, and he ended up selling it for $800.00 plus 4 good doors to replace the ones that were rotting off.

Definitely, buyer beware, this shell has over 384000km

not only did he lie about the mileage, but when i came back from test-driving it and told him about the diff noise, he tried to pass it off as "oh that's just the exhaust"...yeah like i'm dumb enough to believe that. not only that but the current owner is driving it on a fake safety because he couldn't get it certified, so who knows what it could need.

i'm really not surprised to learn the chassis has almost 400k considering the shape it was in.

with all that said, the motor is actually quite nice sounding, and pulls pretty good. i'd swap it into a nicer chassis though.
