As far as I know BMW is still one of the only companies using a variation of the unilateral phase detractors discussed in this video, as they are very expensive for the small performance gains they provide. Nevertheless you should definitely strip those off for resale. Be careful of radiation leaks. If you don't have a hazmat suit-- and every home BMW mechanic should, really-- but just wrapping your face in tinfoil is an effective alternative.

In all seriousness, the most expensive part would probably be the Differential Wiper system. They are a common thing to go on that model and are insanely expensive. My buddy works at BMW and HIS cost is 3200$ for the parts.
