I will try to dig the seets out. Test was ahalf tank of 91 drove for 100km then on the dyno. Half a tank of 94 drove 100km then in the dyno. Ecu should adjust for octane within 50 to 75 km.
Dog. What do you mean "uh oh"? Seems like this is personal.
Lib. Why are we rolling eyes?

Come visit me for a good 25 hp more from your M5 after I load new software into it. And I've got one M5 I tuned with a different exhaust that had 45 hp more. (plus dyno sheets to prove it). If you use 94 octane, the software is a must-have.

Hi Mark. Where are you located? How much does te tune cost? Will th ecu adjust back for 91 in a pinch? Have you tuned e39 m5 with this software? Something like powerchip for the e39?

Car & Driver did it properly with an E46 M3 years ago. They tested around 10 cars and the ONLY one to gain power with 94 versus 91 was the S54. Gain was 8-10rwhp, can't remember now.
That said I never use it in mine. I can't feel the difference and Shell 91 no ethanol gets better mileage.

That gas station runs out of 87 quite often. I've got 91 for the price of 87 there several times. But it's 2 seconds away from my house.

I also did it RIGHT. 8hp gain. There must be ONLY two motors to gain from 94 vs 91, the s54 AND the s62. Still looking for the sheets. I have them somewhere.
