My plans changed several times since last year. I ended up rejetting a set of Weber 45s from an old Alfa. Steve Gailits attached them to a Warnford manifold and an old airbox I found on Ebay.de. He also relocated the battery to the trunk. I kept the stock brake booster and he moved the washer bottle to the other side. Bavaria fuel pump and an FPR on the firewall round it out.
I'm loving the setup thus far! The low and midrange have really woken up. The car feels light on its feet where it previously felt a bit asthmatic at times. Also, it screams like a steampunk WRX -- awesome!
Power dies around 6k but I'm told that's normal for this motor/setup. The only thing I'm not nuts about is the location of the washer bottle, so I'm going to remount it this weekend and clean the whole thing up.
