The Nissan GT-R is one of the most special vehicles you can buy without having to pay an amount of money that seems to be coming from outer space.
This is why many tuners like to take the Japanese coupe and pump it up to levels that match the vehicles that live in the motoring world’s stratosphere. As far as we know, the most extreme modified incarnations of the GT-R (in terms of engine output) come from Switzer Performance.
The tuner offers the P800 and E900 kits that offer (you guessed it) 800 hp and 900 hp respectively, with the second one using ethanol. Now, the tuner has upped the game, offering an (almost) 1,000 hp version of the GTR.
The car’s 3.8 liter twin turbo V6 engine now delivers 951 hp and 804 Nm of torque (at the wheels), with the values registered during a dyno testing session. The new package is called R1k.
As you can imagine, the powerplant (which now offers more than double compared to its stock power output) has received a long list of modifications, including stronger internals, new turbochargers, high-pressure waste-gates, a bigger intercooler, a titanium exhaust, beefier injectors, a redesigned intake manifold, new camshafts, and a new engine management system. The pricing for all the aforementioned mods is $59,990.
The tuning company has released a video of the mighty dyno run, together with a footage that shows the doped Godzilla on the streets. The dyno run shows the car using the stock transmission. However, this has to be upgraded in order to fully allow the car to put its power to the road. You can watch both videos below:

it includes the gearbox and labour. but if you gave me 60k, I wouldn't spend it on making a car that is eminently drivable to near-impossible to drive on a daily basis. I would get an akrapovic titanium exhaust, an accessport, new intercoolers, an oil cooler...and then, carbon hood, trunk, doors, lighter wheels, seats, bumper, etc etc. If you had 35 grand to spend, you could lower the GT-R's weight by 200 pounds making it lighter than an M3, and the mild tuning of it would raise power to close to 600 bhp. I guarantee you that this car would be more enjoyable to drive than a P1000.
