Carbon Fibre Wrapping; Project Pics
Finally got some time to start wrapping again!! Here's some pics of some interior pieces being wrapped. Only applied first coat of exopy so far and trimmed excess material. Will post pics as I complete the pieces. Starting the four door pieces this evening...
Step 1: Prep piece. This one needs resanding; too much harder in mix initially.... hardened too quickly....
Prep the cloth: This piece was cut for piece above. will be applied tonight.
First cost of exopy applied and excess trim removed.
Close-up of Centre shift trim; first coat exopy.
Anyone looking to get Carbon Fibre wrapping done PM me. I will have finished sets ready to go and can also do wrappiing of your pieces for a reduced cost (you provide the pieces to be wrapped; I don't need to buy)..

Thye've only got 1 coat of Epoxy so far. There will be a thorough sanding with 120grit, then 2 more coats of epoxy. Once cured overnight, another thorough sanding starting @ 180, moving through to 1200 grit and then 3 coats of clear coat to finish.

Those look sharp.. what's the price on just normal interior stuff for the E30? Just an estimate. I'll be looking into this once I get my ride going on the road so I can drop it off for some carbon fiber =D

I'll have to confirm number of pieces. If it's 8 pieces like the e46, then it'll be around $350 - 400 for the complete set (cheaper if I use your pieces; or if there are fewer pieces). Bimmian charges $495 for a 8 piece overlay kit. Mine are actual CF skinned, not held by adhesive tape. PM me and we can work out specifics...

Don't see the point really. Just makes the car heavier. Now carbon fiber replacement parts.... maybe.
Why not make a casting, and make direct fit replacements instead of wraps?
