Talk to MaranelloBMW on the forum here they are a sponsor here and offer good prices on new parts.
Or you can get the actuator (#5) from bimmerspecialist, but I don't know where you'll find #7

You can also talk to anyone whos parting out an E30. I know that Eurostyle has a few E30's sitting in his shop.

those parts will not be cheap. I have priced them already through bmw. it cost just as much as the brake shoes and hardware.

Mine was the exact same way. One side had shoes and the other had absolutely nothing. (Luckily i've got a spare parts car/derby car - don't need a parking brake when you're in a derby! =P)

just sayin, i had to replace EVERYTHING for my e-brake, even the dust plates that the shoes mount to.
The dust plates were $50 EACH at the dealer
The star nut/wheel adjusters were $25 EACH at the dealer
the rest of the stuff (shoes, hardware, springs and rotors) i got online, shipped to my house within a day or two (can't remember), all pagid parts
HTML Code:

btw the dust plates are a real treat to remove/replace lol

If everything has been removed, count on the dust plate being rusted or destroyed, hence the removal. Factor that into the cost of getting everything going again.

wouldn't have been a waste had you not cheeped out and fixed it right the first time. Backing plate is almost in all cases the culprit, as the hold down pins usually break through which causes them to....as you put it "explode"
If you band aid the job in almost all cases just a matter of time before it goes again. That applies to EVERYTHING one fixes.

backing plate was the culprit! also snapped the cable (was changed too) and all the springs literally blew. The ebrake blew when I initiated a drift at Shannonville and just held the Ebrake a touch too long

lol my rear brake lines rusted out and i was in the process of replacing them, but when i went to move to car into the driveway all i had was the e-brake, and it snapped just from that, i was barely rolling lol hardly drifting, where did you get the hydraulic e-brake, custom im assuming but sounds interesting to see how it's set up

i got it from level12. Imported it for me. I have yet to install it. Been knid of busy as of late. I'm thinking of actually some how running a separate caliper and custom bracket instead of splitting the line and making it a "line lock"
