X3 (E83) CD player problem

Hi all,

I have a 2006 X3. When I play CD on my CD player, it only works first couple of minutes when I start the vehicle. After several minutes (sometimes maybe longer), it will make a noise sounds like drum and overwhelm my music. At first, I thought I need to clean it so I bought cleaning disc but it didn't help. I tried several different type of cleaning discs but none solved my problem. It only happens when I play CDs. Radio is fine.

Anyone experienced similar issues before? Any solution?

I also went to Futureshop and purchased aftermarket CD player, but when they did the installation, the technician told me they couldn't find a harness worked my vehicle. He said the only solution is to install another amp or something. However, I am not sure that's the case.

The other option I have is to install iPod integration so I don't need to fix my CD player.

forgot to mention:
1. The noise problem remains even when I remove and reinsert the CD. The only way to make it disappear is to turn off my car and wait for 30 seconds and restart the car, and it will work for another 5 mins or so until the problem returns
2. I live in GTA.
