Daytime Running Light Question

this is not BMW related, but still car related.

so i just bought this 1998 Nissan Pathfinder. its an american truck, came over here in 2005. someone put daytime running lights on it with an extra module added. i still need to get this thing safetied, but i was wondering if i can remove the this module and still be able to pass safety.

i always thought when the vehicle was imported to canada, the mto wanted this feature added. and a safety requires all the options working that came with the vehicle stock. technically though, daytime running lights wasn't an option in the states.

Get a "hot" safety. No worries then

you need it for a legit safety. You can pull it afterwards though

uhhh...

thank for the info though

someone wired them up and its an iffy looking job. not the worst i've seen but not the best either. i see the module wires going to the headlight wires with electrical tape on the connections lol. the first thing that comes to find is insulation stripped off the wiring and then the module wires twisted onto them with electrical tape holding them on.
