2000+ are water cooled. I paid just under $500 for mine. Can't remember what the install was but it hurt, a lot.

$500!? Holy crap. Was it new? Re-manufactured? ...?

I don't know how much they are new, but I've heard upwards of $1000, i just know they're expensive. They came on all the M62TU's, so 99 to 03

The parts will be arriving today from www.autopartsonlinecanada.com. Total cost came to about a $1000.00...I'm doing the whole thing as Adam suggested. I'll be paying $200 for labour.

Joe,

The car stayed where is was.

We had my batery hooked to a charger for about 3 hours. It died 5-8 minutes after we turned on the car. We also had a meter that read 12 when it should have been 14.

Cooling system and alternator...ouch.

Glad to hear you're up and running.

I think I need a fan clutch and tranny flush...

^^Don't do a tranny flush, just replace the fluid. I've heard bad things happen on auto's that get flushed late in their life.
