Loosing Power

Car is SC'd

I was on the highway last night, driving and I gunned it...
out of no where i seemed to be loosing power and the exhaust got louder, if i let go of the gas the car would seem to be slowing down a lot more than usual, and felt choppy.

As i was getting off the highway the car wouldn't keep idle and wanted to turn off, barely kept it on.

So i got home and Tig helped me and said that the intake coupler thing fell off probably - he was right

So today I fixed it and the car turns on and idles ok now ... I also then fixed the bottom (underneath which seemed to have fallen off as well)

I thought this would fix everything however when i drive it still seems very choppy like air is getting out..also the traction control turns on as well randomly...

Could it be some sensor or could it still be that this is not sealed air tight?

Update:

Lets say im stationary, in neutral and i rev the car to hold it at 3,000 RPM... the car after like about 1 second drops the rpm down to like about 1,000-1,500 RPM without me doing anything, then after 1 second brings it back to 3000 then after 1 second back down (just a repeat)

Is the e36 328is (1997) is that drive by wire or cable ?

anyone have this problem

Sounds like vacuum leak, ****ed up tuning, or perhaps????
Never buy anyone else's project, you just don't know what/how/if/when.
That's why I bought a stock car instead of a (well)modified one which cost a little less than the stock one.

Good luck

Well its a risk but its most likely a leak... its fixable, and you can get the same problem buying a stock car.

Anyways that's not the issue right now
