Spal Puller Fan Hook up

Hey guys i got a spal fan, and im wonderinf how do i hook it up so that it turns on when the car reaches a certain temp....

I got a spal puller fan, 16 inch, medium profile and curved blades.....

Im really not good with electricals, mostly cuz i hate dealing with it, so i kinda stray away from it... what are my options, what can i do and how do i do it... im looking for the cheapest way and parts i can find locally, nothing from the states.... duty fees suck..

Any help will be much appreciated.

I'm assuming you got the relay and wiring kit with it as well?

http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum...light=SPAL+DIY

This basically shows you how to wire up the relay kit, and tap into the auxilary fan for the temp switch.

Good luck! I installed mine over the winter and have had no problems by following this DIY

I didnt get a relay kit with it, all i got was the fan....

and i dont get it.. the spal fan only has two wires? is the speed controlled by the voltage?

I know its easier just to make it run all the time... but is that good for the engine??

Ok - I'd suggest getting this then:
http://store.bimmerworld.com/spal-fa...kits-p560.aspx

Just get the basic kit and hook up to the aux fan.

If you want to save on duty fees, contact Arek from 8-Legs Racing - he's a Canadian Bimmerworld distributor here in Ottawa, but he can ship to you I'm sure. His screenname is ScotcH on the board. Tell him I sent you.

Good luck!
