disabled iphone - help

so I bought an Iphone from this random sketchbag and when I try to get into it it says "IPHONE DISABLED" and won't allow me to connect to Itunes or anything. I've tried restore mode, when Apple connects to it it says it cannot be restored as there is a password.

I'm under the impression i got ripped off and this phone is stolen or something. My question, is there any other way around this? Does anyone know anybody or any way to still use this phone...

any help would be great.

I think it is stolen. Google DFU mode, and connect it to itunes using that. If it doesn't let you restore then, you're screwed. I know someone who will buy it off you for parts, PM me.

I did.. it worked fine.. the following day it locked up and sketched out on me...

Try #iphone on efnet or afew other networks. I'm almost certain u can fix it.

^^i dont know how much luck you'll have in there. Saurik and a few other dev's hang out in #iphone on irc.hackint0sh.org, but i can almost guarantee they wont help you. (because its stolen)
