alcantara vs leather shift boot

Just found out that my old M5 shifter is permanently attached to the boot, so I'm forced to buy a boot, so, what do you guys think? Alcantara or Leather?
(if I go Alcantara, I will be getting the ebrake boot as well to match)

This is the shift knob I upgraded to, to give you a better idea.

If you can get the ebrake boot as well, then I say, alcantara.

I love alcantara, but it holds dirt easily & it's hard to clean.

alcantara looks cool but I'd stick with the classic look of leather...easier to maintain too!

I find that the Alcantara clashes with the leather seats

+1.

I recently ordered new shift and e-brake boots, too. Initially I went with alcantara with M-Stitching but changed it to leather. I find that while alcantara is very nice on its own, it doesn't fit in our interiors as nothing else is covered in alcantara. IMO, you need seat inserts or steering wheel to pull it off.

Ended up going with leather, it was $60 vs $280. If I decide to go with an alcantra wheel, then I'll do it.

no, I got black on black, I don't like the multi coloured stitching, I got it from a 540.

OEM FTW.
