New owner of '04 320i

Hi guys,

I'm from Toronto. Just picked up a automatic silver '04 320i. It's got about 114,000km on it. BMW dealer lease return. Got for about $13,000 after taxes, e-test and safty. It's the most basic package, with no sunroof, none foldable rear seats, no multifunction wheels, nor nav or bluetooth. With mechanical letherette seats.

Car drives GREAT! Very smooth, easy and fun to drive.

I'm thinking of getting the following upgrades. I'm really a newbie when it comes to cars, so I'm looking for possible recommendation and suggestions and whether they are worth it.

1. K&N Air flow
I searched the K&N site and the following part numbers came up:
-33-2231 , 57-0366 , 57i-1000 , HP-7007(Oil filter)
Which of these should I get? Are the intake kits legal in Ontario?

2. Iphone: BLuetooth/Music Playback:
Ideally, I'm looking for something that would charge my Iphone, Answer/Make calls, and listen to the music stored on my phone. Also Call display and Mute music when on phone would be nice functions.
I did some research, and the following seem to be some of the options I have.

-USA Spec PA12 BMW+Parrot Ck3000
- Problem with this is I don't have mutifunction steering, might have to get that, and it does not have caller display. But I've heard many good things about the USA spec, is there another thing I could get instead of the Parrot ck3000?

I'm also looking at Parrot MKi 9100 as another option, but there's no reviews on this forum about this product, and I've seen else where saying there's occational lock-up issues with this product. Hope someone here can give some feedbacks.

Or, maybe factory Bluetooth+USA spec. I "think" the car is prewired for bluetooth, what will I need to buy to get the OEM bluetooth to work? Do I need to chage the Head Unit?

3. MultiFunction Steering Wheels and Auto Climate Control deck.
Should I get these? or should I not?

4. Lighting:
I'm not quite sure about this one, I think I want to get smoked headlights, side markers and maybe clear LED tail lights. Good combo?
And when it comes to the headlights, it seems rather confusing with the Xeon, HID, projectors and how angel eyes fits in all this. Which brands are reliable, Factory Xeon+ angel eyes? Hope someone could clear this up for me and maybe give me a good combo suggestion.

5. Rims:
Right now it's OEM steel rim with plastic covers, thinking about 17" all season Rims and Tires, any suggestions? Not planning on lowering the car or changing the Coils/suspension.

6. Powerchip
Not sure how much this would increase the performance, I read somewhere saying increased torque at low rpm and more smooth transition between gears. Sounds good, but not sure how much difference in reality compare to the OEM setup. They quoted at least $700 to get it installed, is it worth the money?

So many questions... Maybe I should start individual threads to ask these questions... I'd really appreaciate any comments and suggestions. Thank you guys very much!

the price was right for a basic package, though if you spent a bit more you would have gotten everything at a "better price"..

though, it's your car. Congrats on your purchase.
