GEMBALLA 750 EVO vs. McLaren

Hey

I have always wondered what would happen if you faced a McLaren face to face with a Gemballa 750 Evo. Who would win on the track at Nurburgring?

I'm routing for Mclaren but Porsche tuners always seem to out doo the competition. Just read the super car challenge in last years Road & Track. The Ruff porsche killed everybody

yah

I read about that, too. Still if anybody does know some numbers from the Gemballa and McLaren I would like to know. The 750EVO is rated at 850hp. It has a top speed of 360km/h. I wonder what the quarter mile on that car is even tho it ain't meant for drag racing.

I think this GT classed Manthey-Porsche is the record holder for the full circut at Nürburgring. empowerd (or anyone) know if this is true? and is there a site that keeps current records for the Nürburgring?

As far as know, the current record holder for the Nordschleife on the Nurburgring is this TechArt 996 @7.34min

Gemballa is apparently in the process of building a 1000HP 996 to reclaim the record that TechArt holds.

The McLaren, although light, does better in a straight line than it does on a track. If you watch the Top Gear where Tiff tests the Big Mac on a track, its has more bodyroll than my truck and technically only pulls .87g on the skidpad.

In the turns, the Gemballa has the Big Mac covered, but in the straightaways, the mighty BMW v12 would prevail.

There are different classes... that Manthey-Porsche is a full-on race car, I thought we were all talking about street cars here (Gemballa GTR vs. McLaren F1) on the Nordschleife. I'm sure there are a ton of race cars that'll beat that Manthey-Porsche (like any LM car).

Ah yes. Point taken on the street car VS race car deal. I didn't know that the TechArt 996 was still considered street legal! Now i'm even more impressed with that fine German machine!
