Drove my E30 from Toronto to Calgary

Took me 6 days to be exact (around 3,500km) but that's because I run into trouble here and there. Some pic to share.

Did you do it for fun or you had to be there for something?

I know someone who's going to be doing this trip very soon... two guys in one E30 are gonna power through it non-stop and hopefully drive it in 30 hours. Says he's done it before... lol. That would be a hell of a drive. Any words of wisdom?

Nice clean engine!
Your exhaust looks like it's sagging a bit... broke hanger?

A good friend of mine did that trek a few years back in a base Sunfire automatic he bought for $600. WOT the entire way, did 180-190 constantly and blew a spark plug partway there. Continued on for the rest of the way on 3 cylinders. Despite the loss of power got there in 31 hours.

Oh yeah, and he sold the car for $800 last year. He made that trip 6 years ago. LOL

Most of the time the temp in coolant stayed below half mark (that's if my gauge actually works) I did make stops to check oil and cool down. Besides I get tired faster ...those E30 seats are not the best I did change the timing belt and all belts, rotors and breaks (thanks to Ceeker here at max , and he gave me motivation to change the timing belt myself)

Stuck around in Calgary for 2 days was nice, but I pushed it a bit further. drove to Kelowna BC and so far I like it a LOT here.

some pics

Lucky shot

Glacier meltdown ...fascinating (British Columbia)

E30 was there too.

Awesome man, I did about 2700km to Waskaganish Quebec and back in 2 days. That picture with the dirt on the back/side of the car I have the same picture but it's solid ice!

Love the pics!

Actually it wasn't a "road trip" it was more like "screw you Toronto, it is time for me to get a life" permanent move. Kelowna BC is fantastic! best place on earth. (yeah I was heading to Calgary originally but will stick around here) People here live difference lifestyles. It has been 3 days and I might get a job here (fingers crossed)
