quick suspension question

I have a 97 328is with the factory sports suspension and i wanted to place an order on bilstein shocks. I wanted to know if i should order the sport shocks or the HD shocks. I am aware that sport shocks are for cars with lowering springs and HDs are for stock springs but i am not quite sure which to use with the oem sport suspension on these e36s. I was told the sport suspension sits slight lower than non sport suspension. If anyone here is using billies with oem sport springs pls let me know which one to go for as i dont want to have problems with the bump stop after installing them.

I can't answer your question directly but I had OEM sport suspension and swapped it for Bilstein Sport Shocks and H&R Sport Springs.

Would you consider saving a bit more and buying sport springs?

i dont have the extra cash and i already looked in to that.. that setup uses sport shocks cus the those springs r lowering springs... i still need an answer to my question..

Yeah, they are basically identical shocks, the sports just have the internal bump stop shortened so can go a bit lower.

How much are you getting the Bilsteins for?
Check out the Koni SAs that are on sale over at TireRack.com

You'll prefer the Koni's ride over the Bilsteins, alot of people say the Bilsteins are too harsh for e36s and since you aren't lowering the car, the Koni's will work better IMO.
